Stansik hits paydirt in pro tryout Pioneer grad earns spot with MLL's Chicago Machine

Paul Stansik wrote a check for $125, thinking it would get him a T-shirt and some memories. Instead, the 2003 Pioneer High School graduate cashed in a dream. Three months after joining 40 other dues-paying hopefuls at an open tryout for the Chicago Machine of Major League Lacrosse, the longstick defender was scoring a flashy behind-the-back goal in front of 8,000 fans at Invesco Field in Denver.
